Incomprehensible...

On my way home from college (1700 km in train), I witnessed a peculiar set of people who actuated an interesting but an abortive thought process in me.

To the right of me was a demure Indian bride who hardly spoke a couple of sentences during her 28hr long journey. Her appearance made me believe that she was married at a very young age (she was not more than 22) and lived a life without any excitement. Dearth of happiness in her marital life was evident from the grave expression on her face. Adding on to the gravity of her life was her husband; each time I looked at him, I saw a beast intimidating a weakling with his imperious looks.

If that was the sight besides me, in front of me was a girl from IIT Patna with a cheerful countenance. The pride of qualifying through IIT JEE was pronounced in her eyes. Her body language clearly indicated the affluence of hope and excitement in her life. Her alacrity was phenomenal to an extent which made me look at her with awe only after a few moments of our interaction.

Looking at both the casts of human existence in the same diorama of life, I could not stop my self from asking how god justifies this drastic difference in life styles. If every human being on the earth is a progeny of god, why are some people privileged and some are not? For a few people success is as obvious as a man being called by nature every morning. It is obvious to an extent that the person doesn’t even realize the importance of it and turns arrogant. At the same time, success is like a distant star which is unreachable yet alluring for a few people in spite of their arduous efforts. WHY?

There are many philosophies and scientific studies which say that all of us are born with similar set of capabilities and it is our upbringing which makes us what we are. So, our performance in life is largely dependent upon circumstances in which we grow up. However, a child does not have the liberty to choose a house, a society, parents or any other parameter where he wants to take birth and grow up. That is to say, a person does not have a choice in the childhood, but it is imperative for him to face the consequences (either good or bad) in the adulthood. How does god justify this? At the age of twenty one, an individual can be considered capable enough to be the architect of his own life but not at the age of one.

In the current scenario, who has to be blamed for the young bride’s life full of privations? Is taking birth in an uneducated society and to ignorant parents her mistake? Doesn’t she deserve to be as happy as the other girl from IIT? In addition, how can GOD justify a competition between a boy from a rural background and a boy from an urban background in CAT? The difference need not be in the back grounds either; it could be in the quality of schooling, parents, facilities, exposure, influence and so on. After all, every parent can not provide his children with best schooling.
In conclusion, all of it sums up to one question
"Is GOD really the care taker of justice? Or is he playing some kind of a game?"
I don’t know and I don’t find any answer other than “every thing being the aftermath of our previous life”, which is extremely unfathomable to me.

May be the answers to these questions are out of my scope of understanding but I strongly realize that one should never fall into the domain of arrogance(which most of us do) after some achievements. It is very important to realize that every individual on this earth (supported with a proper attitude towards life) has a spark to do something great. It is just a matter of time, ambience and attitude........

  1. Much of the Best Seller literary masterpieces and a host of other articles, linger around such topics as " Shocking Contrast between the rich & the poor, those who enjoy abundance & the rest of the others who are needy & desperate".

It may not be wrong, to highlight that even many Philosophical Sanskrit masterpieces by Shankara, Ramanuja etc. discuss the questions like -----
birth , choice , choice of next birth,
reasons for luck, logic for inheriting superhuman qualities etc.

Some scholars have even concluded on these issues.

Each of us feel, these Differences deep inside and the Gifted people manage to love the differences.

    So..........the question is ----
Can something be done, instead of just expressing Solidarity to fellow Indians?

I feel, Partcularly the Rural India has been enjoying a Poor Social Structure over the past Millenium.
Things have been worsened by series of Invasions by Muslims, Christians & other Foriegners.

Modern Capitalistic fundas.. are more anti-social in an Altruistic sense.

In today's modern world, Well being of an Individual implies that, it is happening at the cost of somebody's well-being. This Globalised world is so interconnected that, at any given point of time only half of the people in the world will be happy. I mean .... it is all economics these days.

I think I have done so much of writing, just to drive home just a single point. So many number of questions await me now! , as many answers there were, when I began to post this Article.......

"What is this life, if full of care; we have no time to stand and stare."

  2. ya, what you said about an individual being an architect at age of 21 and not at age of one is true..its basically called Conditioning...the conditioning you get at the age below six is all that shapes your life..and you have no control over it..for eg. if an individual at the of six thinks that he will become a rocket scientist..I bet you he will become...now on other hand if someone decides from his certainties that he wants to become someone at more elder ages..the chances become less..this is probably because of the mind that is influenced with the course of time...

The difference between young bride who is living her life in privations and the joyous IIT girl are just a part of their individual lives..that you came across..everyone has ups and downs as change is inevitable..point lies in the fact that how much you can bring out of your life with the initial conditioning applied..may the initial conditioning is what "HE" wants you to be...after wards its up to you to decide what you want to be..wisdom lies in Acceptance!!!

  5. Don't you think this question goes to the root of a single question i.e. why man (exists)?and lets say if they exist then why they don't get the same BEST circumstances?
LETS SAY Every child takes birth on JANAMASTMI (birth date of krishna)?.At the age of 3, every child in India gets a kiss from his parents in the morning and goes to school? In school,a lesson is understood equally by each of them and same doubt(if exists) arises in each of the student's mind, nurturing the same intellectual skills in each of them so that every one passes the exams with 1st rank?
They all get to the same IIT with same stream? They love same subjects and also love same girl and each fight with others for the same but no one wins and the girl goes? They opt for internship at the same institute and either all get through or no one?
Now everyone writes the same blog and gets the same comment from others.Till now I am bored by typing and perhaps you by reading but we both know that to what extent this question can go.

How the world would have looked like in the same circumstances? To add to your boredom ,just think of the existence of EARTH like planet in every universe(some known and some unknown to us?)with typist and reader on each earth.
EVEN GOD WOULD NOT LIKE THIS BORING AND PREDICTABLE GAME!
FIRST OF ALL MAKE EVERYTHING SAME AND THEN THINK OF EQUALITY WHICH YOU WOULD'NT LIKE REALLY
    ELSE
LET THE ALMIGHTY GOD PLAY ,HE HAS SOMETHING RESTORED FOR EVERY ONE AND LET HIM DECIDE THIS AS HE HAS A BIG CALCULATOR!!
    That's why!!

  6. As shakespeare said "Life is a stage, and we all are actors".
If all actors played the same role, it would not be an interesting play.
